The 3rd And The Mortal is a band from Trondheim, Norway formed in 1992. They started out as a doom metal band but only their first two releases Sorrow (EP) and Tears Laid In Earth are doom-metal.

The rest of the releases experiments with ambient, jazz and trip-hop and have little to no metal in them.

Sorrow and Tears Laid In Earth is my recommendation for the common doom-metal head.
