Well, I was shuffling around Last.fm and found this band. They're alright if you're into Gothic metal stuff. I've only listened to a little of the stuff they've got on Last.fm. They use female and male vocals from what I can tell. They're from Norway and formed in 2000. I'm really digging some of this stuff, honestly. Although if you're not open to Gothic stuff youll HATTTTTE it.

So, anyone? If you listen and don't like it, remember it's VERY hard to get into it.

I only "know" this band by name. Maybe I should try them. Very Happy

I used to know their singer Cat (Cathrine Nyland) as she was together with one of my best friends sometimes in the 90's.

I'm going to see Mortal Love when they are playing together with Pagan's Mind and Kamelot in their home town Elverum (30 kilometers from where I live) in May. Cat will not be singing on this concert as she is pregnant with her second baby. The vocal duties will be handled by Sfinx from Ram-Zet.

I remember Cat liked to sing Fairport Convention songs on parties or whenever she felt for singing. Obviously her voice reminded a lot of Sandy Denny from FC. Rock fans probably only know Sandy's voice from the duet she did with Robert Plant on Battle Of Evermore by Led Zeppelin.

I haven't heard any of Mortal Love's music though...

Edit: I downloaded Forever Will Be Gone, and it's quite good...

I just listened to some of their songs on myspace and so far it's interesting enough to try them some more. Smile

Been really enjoying some of this group's music lately. I would definitely recommend it if you like Gothic metal! \m/
