can I get some recs of some Doom? Looking for Doom with traces of Death influence. Long riffs but not super slow or anything, Runemagick - Darkness Death Doom is a good idea. My fiancé likes metal, but mostly other subgenres than I do. He never tells me to turn my noisy music down, never complains or something similar. Looking for bands like Morgion that have a huge atmosphere without being ambient or post-metal. Halp!

There are a lot of stoner bands in this part. Maybe time for an update, adding 'Stoner' to the forum?

^ No. Stoner is a subgenre of Doom Metal. Thats basically settled upon. We cannot add sub-subgenres. If we do that we're gonna have to add Sludge/Drone/Stoner/Doom/ Death\Doom. Then a Brutal/Tech in the DM section. We cannot add all those.

Is it just me, or is doom the biggest metal genre? It's got derivative subgenres, unlike most other metal genres (not counting combinations) and a couple more than those who do. It could almost be a genre of it's own beyond metal.

It does have the most sub sub genres I think yes.

It's a really big band. However, it's sorda sad thats it's one of the most over-looked genres. Anyway, it's a really large genre combinning the sub's and what not.
