To my knowledge there's a couple of good Death Metal bands here, one straight-forward DM, the other Death/Grind. But yeah, we need more DM bands.

Immolation are one of the greatest NYDM bands in the history of NYDM. You cannot slightly ignore this NYDM band whatsoever. Dawn of Possession is a classic album that every DM fan should listen to. To me, that is the best Immolation album. Immolation has released other good stuff, but DoP stands out the most. Harnessing Ruin and Unholy Cult are really damn great albums. DoP is the best.

What about Incantation?

Incantation are pretty damn solid. First album, Onward to Golgotha is an essential death metal record. I feel it is an important record to have if you're into death metal. It's a good record to get if you wanna get into Incantation.
